Michael Martin Murphey is presented Lifetime Achievement Award

Cowboy legend Michael Martin Murphey was presented a lifetime achievement award during a performance with the BYU Philharmonic Symphony on November 2, 2012 at the Heber Valley Cowboy Poetry Gathering.  The award was presented by Governor Gary R. Herbert and Zion's Bank President and CEO Scott Anderson.


The award from Herber City honored Michael's career that includes six gold albums, multiple Grammy nominations, entertaining millions of fans around the world, and for his work in preserving traditional cowboy music.

Michael Martin Murphey is a good friend and promoter of BlueHighways TV and has done several shows for us in the past.  He's been on Heart to Heart Classics with Stan Hitchcock and also on America's Backroads where did performed a special concert at Chimney Rock, just outside of Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Congratulations Michael!  Well deserved!
