We got back late Saturday afternoon, from our visit to Springfield, Missouri, eating way too much great food on Thanksgiving with my Brother bro, Sammy and Sister bro, Vickie, and taking the Nostalgia tour for me on Friday out in the country where I, and my brothers, grew up. My coming home time was brief, but good, and it's always nice to visit the old haunts.
Tomorrow it's back to the office, where I left all the stress and worries of a small business owner, waiting for my return to jump on my back and beat me about the head and shoulders, just like every other small business owner has to face. The upcoming Fiscal Cliff they keep talking about is nothing new to us, we face a Fiscal Cliff every week in business, with the economy such as it is, and we keep marching on because we believe that what we are doing is right and important.....and, it's just what we do, win, lose or draw.
So, on this last night of the Holiday, I still ruminate on the many blessings...not the many problems.....on the good things....not the bad...putting on the whole armor of God, Trusting in Him for my directions, basing my life on a belief system that sustains me, in the Uphill climbs...and knowing that life is not about winning or losing...but about giving yourself freely to your God, who will use you for good, and give you strength for any challenge you might be facing.
It is my wish that you all find the Peace and Tranquility in your everyday family lives, that you have the rest of a clear conscience as you close your eyes tonight, and the joy that every new day should bring, as the Sun rises over the mountains or plains where you live....for, "I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth, He will not allow your foot to be moved, He who keeps you shall not slumber, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep." Psalm 121 So, don't worry about counting sheep, tossing and turning....just know that you can go to sleep...God is on Watch. -Stan
