View From the Road-Stan Hitchcock-November 21, 2012
Well, here we are in Springfield, MO visiting my Brother bro, Sammy, and
my Sister bro, Vickie. Denise and I are always happy to be with Sam
and Vic, and we usually travel together in our RV's, searching
the back roads of America for hidden treasures in flea markets and junk
shops since all four of us have different things we collect. Sam is a
world class Dr Pepper memorabilia collector and has a collection that
deserves to be in a museum somewhere, Vic and Denise each have certain
glass wear and folk art that they collect, and I just look for old,
historic pieces of classic country music...song books, picture books,
pictures, Louis L'amour leather bound books, musical instruments, etc.
Also, Sam and I are both avid classic car lovers, and will stop on a
dime to check out an old car or truck.
However, over
Thanksgiving, we are just staying in their home and cooking.....well,
the girls are cooking...Sam and I are eating....and doing what brothers
do when they don't get together very often. Talking music and family
history and just enjoying hanging out.
From the Hitchcock
family to all of your families, we have so much to be thankful for and
we wish for you...good health...a loving family...challenges to keep you
busy....victories enough to keep you encouraged....and Faith to get you
through whatever comes. God bless us all. -Stan
