Well, a little break, between Spring weather systems, moving through
Tennessee like freight trains. Gonna be about 70 degrees today and I
will be on my tractor all day trying to cut grass before the rain comes back in tonight and tomorrow.
Things have greened up so bright that it almost makes you forget the
brown and gray days of winter. Wildlife is out and about, the mother
deer and their fawns running across the roads, making driving real
interesting. Squirrels running about everywhere, baby rabbits coming
out of the grass, in front of the tractor when I am mowing the fields.
The hummingbirds came back, just this week, from their winter vacations
in South America and are drinking Denise's sugar water like they haven't
had a drink since last Fall.
Spring is the time of rebirth
and new energy. The force of nature wakes me up early, every morning,
interested to see what the new day will bring.
As Charlie Daniels likes to say, "It's good to be alive and living in Tennessee!"
Watching life go by from the seat of a John Deere tractor is not a bad way to enjoy a day. Stan
