Stan Hitchcock-View From The Back Deck At Sunset-May 14, 2013

Two Mourning Doves are calling back and forth, you wonder, are they both calling their sad Dove song to the same fickle female? And the Mockingbird, he has sung his self hoarse, but still going into fantastic new melodies. Where is the lady bird that he sings to. And in between the Mourning Doves and the Mockingbird, two Robins, go about their worm search with only an occasional chirp.

The Wrens and Golden Finches are eagerly eating at their special feeder, that only they can eat out of, fresh filled today, and much anticipated.

Sunset on the back deck is a wonderful, close family time. A time when we can quietly sit, listen to the different bird sounds, enjoy some snacks and a cool drink, and just be...Just being is an important function that you can only practice with those that you trust and love with no pretense. Just being, has no pretense, the shield is let down, the door to your most innermost self is opened wide, and your loved ones see you as you really are...just being.   Stan
