Ummm...that first drink of coffee sure is fine this morning. Little
foggy in the bottom along the creek, but looks like it will be a nice
day in Tennessee.
Getting the urge to hit the water with
a pole, really bad, but my schedule does not allow for that right now.
The water in all the lakes and creeks is still running full from all
the rain, which cleans out and refreshes all the waterways.
Lots of turmoil in the world, right now, wars and rumors of wars, but
here on the front porch of the old farm house, the only war I see is the
one between a blue jay and a black bird over something or other, the
squirrels are just getting up and getting started on their little
squirrel lives, the deer have gone back into their secret places in the
woods, resting after grazing all night. So, I prefer this world to that
other kind of stuff, aware of what's happening, but not letting it ruin
my day.
As long as Deshea Creek chuckles on down to the
Cumberland, the Mockingbird continues to find new tunes to try out on my
morning coffee time, I can watch the squirrels scampering about, while
Old Buck The Collie ignores them, only interested in the big game he
sees on National Geographic Channel, the Hummingbirds continue to hum as
they suck up the sugar water, the horses have found a new stand of
clover....I reckon all is well in the world around the old farm house,
and the front porch view is pretty dang good. Stan
