In this
week's show, Bailey brings you the latest news from this
weekend's Grammy Awards, Clay Walker, Billy Currington, Bluegrass
Underground, and the upcoming ACM Awards.
We go Inside The Song with Eric Durrance as he talks about a song he wrote with Jake Owen on their way back home to Florida called Eight Second Ride.
Here at Inside
Music Row, we always try to get into the music, and celebrate with
artists and writers when songs do well. We hit up a very special double
number one party, where Thomas Rhett was the artist on one, and a writer
on the other. The first hit to celebrate that day was Round Here
from Florida Georgia Line. Thomas Rhett joined Rodney Clawson and Chris
Tompkins on the writing session that produced that hit, so we headed
out to the big celebration to find out more about that song. Check it
out here.
In our last segment, we featured the celebration for Round Here
from Florida Georgia Line. This was a huge day for one of the writers
of that song, Thomas Rhett, as he also was able to celebrate his very
first number one as an artist. Here is more with Thomas and writers Ben
Hayslip, Jimmy Robbins, and his dad Rhett Akins. Join the party here.
Kellie Pickler was
surprised at her record label with a very special delivery. She and her
husband Kyle Jacobs received their very own barrel of Old Number Seven
from Master Distiller Jeff Arnett of Lynchburg, Tennessee. Kelly Lynn
headed out to learn how they hooked up with Jack Daniels for their 47
cases of Tennessee whiskey. Check out the presentation here.
Thomas Rhett talks about his first number one as an artist for It Goes Like This along with songwriters Ben Hayslip, his dad Rhett Akins, and Jimmy Robbins. |
