View From The Upper Mississippi River- July 9, 2012
Watching the sun setting over the River bluffs of the Mississippi. Heading back to Tennessee early in the morning to get back to doing what I do, which is just fine because we have been here 3 weeks and it's time to be home. We missed all the super hot days they have been having in the South and Midwest although we reached a 102 degree day last week up here in Wisconsin. Old Buck the collie is ready for his own front porch again I think, always vigilante against those pesky deer that keep walking across the yard by the creek. Denise is worried about her garden, and probably with good reason given all the heat they have been having. I need to get back to the office and start doing some television again, if I haven't forgotten how. Ronnie Reno probably needs me to show him a chord or two and play a little rhythm while he pick the mandolin. Our time away, at this time every year, is a special time for us and we both cherish it...but, now let's go home. Fishing has been the worst I can remember for the past 26 years because of the rising and falling of the water level. Still, I always enjoy just being on the water in Natures beauty and sometimes catching a fish. On the road again.....just can't wait to get on the road again..... -Stan
