The 2012 World of Bluegrass Festival is to be held in Nashville, TN although it is still currently in the works.  However, it already displays an itinerary of unforgettable performances and events.  The festival will feature more than 60 acts headlined by the Del McCoury Band.  There will also be a very special 40th anniversary celebration of Will the Circle Be Unbroken, a recording that helped put bluegrass music on the international map.

The festival is produced by the International Bluegrass Music Association and boasts a week of activities for fans, musicians, and tradespeople alike!  It will include a business conference, a trade show, panel discussions, tributes, masters' workshops, a fiddle contest, golf outings, an awards show, and jamming all week long!

The 2012 IBMA Awards, hosted this year by Del McCoury and Laurie Lewis is slated to be on September 27th at the Ryman Auditorium.  For more information and tickets to the awards: www.ibma.org
