LIFE GOES ON by Musicians Against Childhood Cancer® Receives 5 IBMA Nominations!

Rural Rhythm records was proud to announce that the album Life Goes On, recorded by the Musicians Against Childhood Cancer® (MACC) has received 5 IBMA nominations!  

The album was produced by Jerry Salley, Carl Jackson, Larry Cordle, Jim VanCleve and Randy Kohrs.











Nominations:

-The title track "Life Goes On" is nominated for Recorded Event of the Year.  It was recorded by:  Carl Jackson, Ronnie Bowman, Larry Cordle, Jerry Salley, Rickey Wasson, Randy Kohrs, D.A. Adkins, Garnet Bowman, Lynn Butler, Ashley Kohrs, Gary Payne, Dale Pyatt, Clay Hess, Alan Bibey, Jay Weaver, Ron Stewart, and Jim VanCleve.

-"Beyond the Sunset" is nominated for two awards-- Gospel Recorded Event of the Year and Recorded Event of the Year.

-"Old Violin" is also nominated for Recorded Event of the Year and was recorded by Larry Cordle & Michael Cleveland.

-"Manzanita" is nominated for Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year and was recorded by: Tony Rice, Josh Williams, Aaron Ramsey, Aubrey Haynie, and Rob Ickes.

The album has also done very well on the bluegrass music charts.  It has reached #4 on Billboard Magazine's Top 15 Bluegrass Albums Chart.  The album and title track have appeared on numerous radio charts this year including Sirius XM's Bluegrass Junction's Most Played Tracks and Albums.

The album was recorded live during the annual MACC festivals from 2006-2011 except for the track "Life Goes On" that was recorded at Slack Key Studio in Nashville, TN.   Rural Rhythm recently released the music video for "Life Goes On" that you can see on the MACC website: http://www.bluegrassclassic.com/
