View From The Front Porch- September 10, 2012

If you have never explored along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, hiking back to find places like this, then you need to do it sometime. This was a getaway that Denise and I took a couple of years ago, about this time of year, when the air is crisp, the sky is brilliant blue and you're just glad to be alive and enjoying this beauty. There are wonderful little side trips to some great little mountain villages, some really nice Bed and Breakfast Inns and interesting art galleries...and of course, time to enjoy each other without distraction, which is the best part of it all. Get out and enjoy this wonderful country of ours with some one you love.
