View From The Front Porch- September 9, 2012

Lots of people hurting, for any number of reasons in America tonight. Some child going to bed hungry, some single Mother not knowing where the money is going to come from for the rent, some young man, just out of college, who did everything right, studied hard to get that degree, but still can't find a job, some young girl facing heartache and rejection and an unwanted pregnancy. Some man, 60 years old, worked hard all his life and his company told him it was downsizing and he's out the door without even a thank you for his long and faithful service.

 

“When the storms of life are heavy, stand by me…..when the storms of life are heavy, stand by me…Oh thou Lily Of The Valley, stand by me”. We all have to go through the storms of life, sickness, death, troubles of all kinds, but there is One who you can always know will be there to lead you through, no matter what happens. The Lord doesn’t say he will “keep us out of storms”, He doesn’t promise us smooth sailing. No, He says He will always be there to give us strength to withstand whatever comes.

"Nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him until that day."      2 Timothy 2:12
