Stan Hitchcock-View From The Front Porch-May 4, 2013

Well, the rain that we knew was coming, cause it already dumped on Missouri and Arkansas the last couple of days, has hit pretty strong today. Looks like it stretches all the way down to the Gulf and all the way up to Canada. Talledaga NASCAR race is rained out....the Kentucky Derby is going to run in slop, looks like. When it came through the Ozarks, it dumped snow on my brother Sam and all my Ozark friends and neighbors of long past.

Makes it a good day to just stay in the house and get done some of the Honey Do list things that you been forgetting about. Got a project going in my Music/Fishing room, building some new steps, got some little things to do upstairs, and so I will keep busy and enjoy just being able to be doing for the one I love, and keeping out of the rain.

Still haven't decided what to do about he people that are asking for friend status, and I've reached the 5000 max. You know an old hillbilly singer like me wants all the folks that want to be on the Heart to Heart Front Porch, to be able to come on in and join the rest of us. It's not that we do so much, but we all just kinda like to get together and visit, make a comment, think things out, play a little music or a video, tell a few stories...just enjoy being with friends.

Well, where ever you are, and whatever the weather, I hope you have a good day, get all your Honey Do stuff caught up, and come on back when you've got the time. Be a good time to call home and talk to the old folks, or scratch you dogs ears, write a song, think of a story you haven't told in awhile. Shoot, you might want to go ride your horse in the rain.

Stan
