Stan Hitchcock-View From The Front Porch-May 27, 2013

All beef hot dogs, split open and stuffed with Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Strips of Bacon then wrapped around the dog and cheese, with tooth pick stuck in the middle to hold it all together. On the grill, about 7 minutes on one side, then turn them over and do 5 minutes on the other side. Now they are charred good from the grill, place them in an oven pan, have the oven heated to 400, to cook the baked beans that are already well along, place the pan of bacon wrapped hot dogs on the top shelf of the oven and let them bake for 10 minutes. This finishes cooking the bacon good. Take the out and slip them into a fresh bakery hot dog bun, put a little chopped up onions (Vidalia if you can find them) pickle relish, mustard and Catsup. On the stove, take the lid off the fresh roasting ears that have been boiling, take them out and put them in a bowl and slather them with real cows butter. Now, add some good homemade slaw and some fresh tater chips, a glass of iced sweet tea, the baked beans out of the oven, put them in some strong paper plates (not them flimsy kind) take it out on the deck or porch in a shady spot, sit the family down and Thank God for the blessings and eat a Memorial Day feast. Anyway, that's what we did.   Stan
