Weekly Recipe: Pepperoni Rolls

These are appetizing to adults and children alike!

Ingredients:
5 c. all-purpose flour
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 c. milk
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. canola oil
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. salt

Instructions:
Stir together 2 cups flour and yeast.  Heat on stove top (or microwave milk, water, oil, sugar and salt to lukewarm).  Don't get it too hot or it will kill the yeast.

Add liquids all at once with salt to the flour mixture and beat until smooth (about 3 minutes).  Mix in enough flour to make a soft dough, 2-3 cups.  Mix well.

Dust a flat surface with flour and knead the dough.  If necessary dust with flour so it isn't sticky.  Place in a lightly greased bowl, let rise until double, mix down and let rise again.  Pinch off the size you want, I make mine a little bigger than a golf ball, flatten ball of dough and place 3 or 4 pieces of pepperoni on circle and wrap the dough around the pepperoni, sealing all edges.  Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and let rise until doubled.

Bake on 350° until browned.

Cook Time: 12-15 min for each cookie sheet.

Servings:
About 3 dozen, depending on size.
