Weekly Recipe: Taco Casserole

This is a flavorful Mexican dish that is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients:
1lb ground beef
1 16 oz jar taco sauce or salsa
1 can biscuits, 10-count (not butter flavored)
1 jar mushrooms, sliced and drained
1 jar olives, black or green, sliced & drained
1 onion; chopped
1 bell pepper; chopped
1lb cheddar cheese; shredded
1lb Monterrey jack cheese; shredded


Instructions:
Pour 1/2 jar of taco sauce or salsa into 9x12 baking dish. 

Cut biscuits into quarters.  Mix into sauce.  Layer 1/2 of each type of cheese over mixture. 

Place in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.  


Meanwhile, in a separate pan, combine ground beef, mushrooms, olives, onion, bell pepper, and any seasonings to taste and cook until meat is browned.  Drain.  

Pour meat mixture over biscuit mixture.  Pour remaining taco sauce or salsa over the meat.
