View From The Highway- June 19, 2012
All loaded up and headin' out in the morning for the Upper Mississippi River in Wisconsin. Hopefully we'll get into some cooler weather than what we have been having in Middle Tennessee lately. Y'all watch for us as we head up across parts of Kentucky, all across Illlinois, into Iowa and finally cross over the Mississippi into Prairie du Chien, WI. It's me and my buddy Chuck Lowrance...two fishing fools headed for an adventure. We go through Puducah, Marion, IL, Mt Vernon, IL, then head Northwest toward St Louis, hit Hiway 4 up toward Springfield, IL and Peoria, then across to the Quad Cities and cross over the river into Iowa, cut due North to Dubuque go through Guttenburg, Iowa and at McGregor, Iowa we cross the river into Prairie du Chien. It's exactly 714 miles and that ain't no hill for a stepper. -Stan
